An interview with Katie Heath, Yoga Teacher
During the day I enjoy working as a pediatric nurse. In my free time I like to read books, garden, cook, learn about Crohn’s Disease and naturopathic ways to ease symptoms caused by autoimmune diseases, watch murder mysteries, cuddle my dog and cat, I also enjoy embroidery, crocheting, and most arts and crafts.
Why do you teach yoga?
I teach yoga to share knowledge, I love sharing things I have learned through yoga, nursing and social work, that have given my life more peace with others.
What has yoga helped you with the most in your personal life?
Yoga has helped me in so many ways I think I could write a book about it now, but I think the most significant thing yoga has done is help me ground myself. To cope with life’s changes and stay in the present.
What is your favorite hot drink?
My favorite hot drink lately is a french vanilla cappuccino with cinnamon.
What/who inspires you?
Nature and gardening inspire me, I love planting things and watching them grow, the way everything is so complex but everything has a reason and purpose. I keep tons of plants in my house and my collection is always growing.
What is your idea of the perfect cozy day?
